BSI started in the mid-90's as a duo of Ryan Melanson and Jay Lewis. Influenced by diverse bands as The Legendary Pink Dots, Pink Floyd, Can, Krautrock, and Spacerock in general... The music unfolded usually through stream of consciousness, as the songs tended to write themselves. Around 2004, we added Rick Horton on Drums and Robert Sherber on Bass Guitar to help solidify a live setup.
